A structure or a useful legend?

I ask the question simply, for myself: do the DarX exist?
Or does this name serve to frighten, or even to give an artificial coherence to affairs that have none? And why not to impress adversaries, to sell mystery on the cheap?
I do not have the answer. I keep both hypotheses open. The first: DarX designates a real network. The second: DarX designates a useful urban legend, deliberately maintained. Both can produce concrete effects.
