Who owns the warehouses on Tallinn’s north quay
January 19, 2002
I thought I was writing an article about warehouses. I find myself with a chain of Estonian, Latvian and Cypriot companies. Each owner points to another owner. Each signature takes me a little further from the answer.
I don’t believe in mysteries when a simple commercial register should suffice. But it takes time. You have to accept reading boring documents for hours. That is often where the truth hides — in the annexes, the small print, the boxes deliberately left empty.
For now, I know one thing: these warehouses are not just walls. They are used to control flows.
